Tempera on thin cardboard. 31,5 × 15,3 cm (12 ⅜ × 6 in.). On the reverse with the estate stamp in purple: NACHLASS CHRISTIAN ROHLFS. Signed and inscribed in pencil by Helene Rohlfs: Frau Christian Rohlfs Nr. 42 Frau in rot 1916 ca. [3855] Framed

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The sheet edges without tears or losses. In the sheet corners and at the lower left edge, slight nicks and slight diagonal creases (up to 3,9 cm) with a few accompanying minimal paint losses. In the black areas, isolated fine craquelure. Isolated faint scuff marks. Each sheet corner with a minuscule mounting hole. Ultraviolet light reveals no retouchings or repairs. On the reverse, traces from the artist's workshop. In the upper corners and at centre of the lower edge mounted with paper tape onto the support
