Watercolour and brush and India ink on thin paper. 58,9 × 41,8 cm (23 ¼ × 16 ½ in.). Signed and dated in pencil lower right: Rudolf Schlichter 1922. Titled lower left: Im Café. On the reverse: sketch of a seated woman with hat. Brush and India ink. Minor margin imperfections. [3106]

The "Verona-Diele" was a popular meeting place for lesbian women in Berlin in the 1920s. The bar was located at Kleiststrasse 36 in Schöneberg.
