Drypoint on wove paper. 17,2 × 18,2 cm (30,3 × 34,7 cm) (6 ¾ × 7 ⅛ in. (11 ⅞ × 13 ⅝ in.)). Signed and inscribed: Eigendruck 1. Zustand. On the reverse with the Basel estate stamp Lugt 1570b and the number inscribed in pen: R 118 I. There too the stamp: unverkäuflich E.L. Kirchner. Catalogue raisonné: Gercken 231 I (of III) / Dube R 39. Only known print of the 1st state before the closing and double drawing of the contours and before the addition of several compositional elements in the background. Framed
