Pencil on chequered perforated paper. 22,6 × 14,8 cm (8 ⅞ × 5 ⅞ in.). Inscribed, dated and titled in blue ink at lower edge: Tuesd. June 3rd 1902, 9 P.M. Kastanienbäume in der Ringbahnstr. On the reverse, inscribed in black ink (beginning of a letter): Herrn [...] Berlin SW. Sehr geehrter Herr! Hierdurch ersuche ich Sie ergebenst um gefällige Honorierung der nachstehenden. Catalogue raisonné: Accompanied by a certificate by Achim Moeller, The Lyonel Feininger Project LLC/Moeller Fine Art Projects, New York/Berlin, dated 1 April 2026. The work is included in The Lyonel Feininger Archives with the number 2058-04-01-26. [3395]

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The sheet edges without losses. At the centre of the left sheet edge, a short tear (0,5 cm). The paper with minor time staining and, in the upper and the lower margins, slightly creased. In the upper left corner and in the right sheet area, each a slight handling crease (to 21 cm). On the reverse, the upper corners with Japan paper remnants of former mounting; slightly protruding to the front
