Information

Watercolour over pencil on heavy paper (from a sketch book). 31,1 × 22,3 cm (12 ¼ × 8 ¾ in.). Signed lower left: Lohse. On the reverse: Fragment of a technical drawing. Pencil. [3369]

Condition Report: Fine, harmonious overall appearance. The colours fresh. The sheet edges slightly unevenly cut, otherwise without tears or losses. In the centre of the upper edge, minor paper fibre residue and, on the right, a barely noticeable vertical printer's crease (2,5 cm). The corners slightly bumped, here the upper paper layer partially slightly torn. In the centre of the left edge, the upper paper layer with small pinpoint abrasions. At corners as well as in the center of the upper edge, each circular indentations and miniscule holes from mounting with thumbtacks. On the reverse, slight scuff marks. Along the edges, yellowish discolourations of former adhesive mounting and, in the centre, each small rests of former paper mountings
