Woodcut on Japon nacré. 15,5 × 30,5 cm (46,6 × 36,6 cm) (6 ⅛ × 12 in. (18 ⅜ × 14 ⅜ in.)). Signed. Catalogue raisonné: Vallier 181.16. Artist's proof before lettering outside the edition of 230 copies. One sheet (of 18) from the set of illustrations for Guillaume Apollinaire's book of poems of the same title. Paris, Louis Broder, 1962. [3818] Framed

Condition Report: Very fine, harmonious overall appearance. The sheet edges without tears or losses. In the centre of the right margin, one faint shell-shaped handling crease (2 cm) and, in the lower margin on the right, one slight vertical crease (5,5 cm). On the reverse, in the upper corners mounted with paper adhesive strips onto the support cardboard; the mounting in the lower corners detached. Recto in the corners faint pressure marks visible from mounting as well as the paper here slightly lightened
